The Ski Club regularly recruits for a range of seasonal positions in the build up to each winter, and often for permanent positions too. Based in our offices in South London, working for the Club is a unique opportunity to form part of a close-knit, sociable team all working to the same goal; to help our Members have the best season ever!

Current Openings

The Ski Club Of Great Britain is looking for an experienced Chalet Host couple to join us in Flaine for the upcoming winter season. You will be working autonomously alongside another host couple in one of our chalets located in the Hameau area of the resort. Each week we run instructed off piste courses for our members and the host role is pivotal in ensuring they have the best stay.

The duties will be as follows:

  • Welcoming our Ski Club members to the chalet (up to 9 each week)
  • Weekly changeover of the chalet on a Saturday
  • Daily housekeeping of public areas & bedrooms
  • Cooking delicious homecooked and nutritious food including a cooked & continental breakfast on 5 mornings, 3 course evening meal on 5 nights, a pre prepared meal for 1 night, canapes on 2 nights, plus an afternoon tea cake
  • Weekly shopping & food orders
  • Working to a budget, completing weekly admin on time and reporting any issues and feedback to your line manager
  • Customer service, talking to guests, assisting the rep with any information
  • Working as a team with the other chalet hosts

    Due to the autonomy of the role, you must have completed at least 1 season previously in a similar role and must be over 25 years old for vehicle insurance purposes.

    The role is a 35 hour a week contract plus overtime (€12ph, plus time and a half for the overtime) per person, usually the hours average around 40 – 43 once you get going and slightly more at the start of season. Accommodation, lift pass, £175 per person towards travel each way & insurance is also included in the package
