This legendary resort has seen the birth and growth of world-class talents such as Federica Brignone, queen of alpine skiing, and Guglielmo Bosca, one of downhill skiing’s stars. Courmayeur has also trained internationally renowned snowboarding champions like Loris Framarin and Emiliano Lauzi.
Courmayeur is proud to be these stars’ home, and to also continue to shape the future of winter sports where, among the young up-and-coming promises, are alpine skiers Annette Belfrond and Pietro Broglio, and snowboarders Lisa Francesia Boirai, Leo Framarin, Federico Casi, and Matteo Rezzoli. These young people are getting ready to write new ski stories.
Courmayeur, a jewel nestled between the majestic peaks of the Alps, with magnificent Mont Blanc as a backdrop, offers skiing enthusiasts an unforgettable experience in an extraordinary ski resort.
Our perfectly groomed slopes are surrounded by a landscape of forests and sunny valleys that boast breathtaking views. The exceptional quality of the snow contributes to making every ride an unforgettable experience.
Here, every skier finds their niche, from the ideal beginner slopes, to the most demanding ski runs, with a 1,550-meter elevation gain between Arp and Dolonne.
Thanks to our innovative snowmaking system, which covers more than 80% of the ski area, enthusiasts can enjoy high-quality snow throughout the whole season.
Located less than two hours by highway from either Milan or Geneva, Courmayeur is committed to offering utter perfection for skiing enthusiasts, day and night, throughout the entire winter season.
When evening falls and the skiing day is over, it’s time for après-ski: a unique opportunity to stop on the slopes and spend an evening with friends, and then ride the Courmayeur cable car, which is open until midnight, down into the valley.
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, even for non-skiers, is the incredible gourmet options that become a thrill to be had, even in the evening in the muffled atmosphere of a winter night, at one of the restaurants that are also open for dinner.
FAMILY VACATION AND A SPECIAL FOCUS ON YOUNG PEOPLE
Courmayeur has always catered to families and young winter sports enthusiasts. The new ski pass pricing policies have been designed to benefit those who want to experience the mountains in the company of their loved ones. Children under 8 always ski for free when their ski pass is purchased together with an Adult, Youth or Senior ski pass. In addition, children under 16 will enjoy a 30% discount, and young people under 24 a 20% discount, allowing them to experience the Courmayeur slopes at a reduced price.
For the little ones, who still cannot experience skiing, there’s the possibility of following mom and dad to the slopes, and having fun with the Snow White Mini Club nannies. The Club is just a few steps from the top of the Plan Checrouit lifts. It’s an oasis of fun and care, dedicated to the very young, so that every family member can enjoy a perfect day in the snow.
BUONGIORNO COURMAYEUR – A unique experience, skiing at sunrise
Courmayeur offers a unique skiing experience, wherein, plunged in the morning silence, the first sunrays will caress the summit of Mont Blanc, delicately tinting it pink. On certain days, it will be possible to be among the first to glide down our perfectly groomed slopes, to enjoy the spectacle of the first light of dawn and to breathe in the crisp morning air. This exclusive experience will be reserved for up to 50 people who wish to wake up early to experience such an exciting adventure.
INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY
Courmayeur is a resort that has always been on the forefront, and continues to invest to provide guests with an optimal experience, all the while reducing energy consumption and environmental impact. Energy procurement from sustainability-oriented CVA Energie is one example. Water for snowmaking, which covers more than 80% of the resort, comes from groundwater, preserving the natural landscape and returning pure water to the environment.
Our geo-localized grooming system in all grooming machines ensures the timely monitoring of snowpack thickness, so as to optimize the distribution of snow on the slope and adapt snow production to actual need.

Those looking for an experience that combines culinary pleasure with an unusual experience can reach some of the restaurants on the Val Veny mountainside by snowmobile.
ONE RESORT, TWO SOULS
Courmayeur is chic, but it is also wild: within the same ski area, two distinct souls coexist, blended perfectly with our territory and capable of satisfying all of our guests’ needs. For those who are looking for charm and elegance, the Checrouit mountainside, with its gourmet restaurants and après ski, between one descent and the next, will offer emotions and moments of genuine fun. Those, on the other hand, looking for the unspoiled and wild side of Courmayeur cannot miss the Val Veny side, which offers descents in the magic of the forests and unique views of Mont Blanc, with cozy chalets that welcome guests with the warmth and scents of local products.
THE THRILL OF FREERIDING
For freeride lovers, the upper part of the ski area, from the arrival stations of the Youla and Arp cableways, offers unique off-piste itineraries, which have even been featured in some stages of the Freeride Word Tour in the past. Only Courmayeur offers adrenaline-filled couloirs, interesting drops, and virgin slopes, with optimal snow conditions and breathtaking views of Mont Blanc.
THE SNOWPARK
The ultimate playground for those who love acrobatics, in the heart of the ski area, is designed for lovers of ski and snowboard stunts, but also for those who want to dip their toes in these disciplines for the first time.
Located at an elevation of 2,000 meters, the park is meticulously maintained and equipped with a progressive area featuring four lines with all levels of rails, whoops, and funboxes, two types of jumps – easy and medium – and very easy rails, suitable for kids and beginners.
