Tignes shares the huge Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area with its eponymous neighbour Val d’Isère. Between the two there are 300km of pistes for all abilities, ranging from long gentle greens to seriously steep off piste. The lift system is very good after a lot of investment in recent years and even if the natural white stuff is lacking, a powerful snowmaking system and the Grande Motte Glacier ensure that snow reliability is as good as it gets. There are four separate villages to choose from. If you’re looking for guaranteed snow, good value accommodation, a lively nightlife and maximum practicality then Val Claret and Le Lac are your best bets. For a quieter, wooded setting then either Les Boisses and Les Brévières make a great base – especially for families.
You will be staying at Hotel le Diva on a half board basis, a hotel very well located in the heart of Val Claret, close to the lifts and almost (but not quite!) ski in ski out. This holiday is on a single occupancy basis. You will therefore be placed in a room on your own for the duration of the trip. If you would prefer to share a room with someone you know, then please contact the Freshtracks office and we will make the relevant arrangements.
This holiday includes both your flights and transfers. The flights are with British Airways and depart from London Gatwick to Grenoble Airport. Ski carriage is only payable at the airport and cannot be pre-booked.
14th – 21st Dec 2024 : LGW – GNB BA2584 0835-1115 // GNB – LGW BA2585 1215-1305
Your Ski Club Rep will coordinate the coach transfer from the airport, so please look out for them in the main arrivals hall – they will be wearing their Ski Club jacket. Transfers to and from resort will take approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.
If these travel arrangements are not convenient, you may be eligible to organise your own travel and receive a nominal discount from the holiday cost. Furthermore, if you can find alternative flights that coincide with our flight times then you can meet the group at the airport and take our transfer to resort. Please contact the Freshtracks office on 020 8410 2022 in order to discuss this further.
If you require ski hire, we recommend Val Claret Belambra Sportski 3. Ski Club members can get a discount at this Ski set shop when pre-booking online through the Ski Club website.
