Following continuous testing to the new season’s range, Mammut have identified a potential issue with the power switch, potentially risking devices switching from send to search mode unintentionally.
Mammut have been able to identify the cause of the issue, and have taken appropriate measures moving forward. The brand is keen to stress this issue – and recall – only affects Barryvox 2 and S2 units; previous seasons’ Barryvox and Barryvox S units are not affected.
To take part in the recall, complete the return form on the Mammut website, and, once requested, return the unit to Mammut. Rectification of any defects is done free of charge, as is posting to and from Mammut.
For full details of the defect, models affected, and how to initiate a recall return, please see the Mammut website here.
This recall does not affect any of the units the Ski Club uses on Freshtracks holidays, with its Reps in resort, or via our hire scheme. The Ski Club ensures that all transceivers are regularly checked and maintained in line with manufacturer’s guidelines.
