We’ve teamed up with Alto.Ski to deliver our new App and associated membership cards. As a result, you can taken advantage of Alto.Ski’s unique “Pay As You Go” Skiing function, where you don’t have to purchase lift passes in advance but are charged the best rate for your day’s skiing at the end of the day or week. More details can be found throughout this page for this function.
Please note, that to buy and store “normal” pre-paid lift passes, you do not have to activate your card or add payment details to the App; the card is good to go out of the box.
To activate Pay As You Go Skiing, you will need to log in to the App and then scan the QR on each card. Cards are tied to the lead Member on a family membership, allowing you to control your children’s and freeze them if they get lost.
You will need to add payment card details in order to finalise activation of your card. This can be done under the “payment details” in the sidebar menu. This will be the card charged for any Pay As You Go Skiing you do. You don’t need to add a payment card if you don’t intend to use Pay As You Go skiing, however you won’t be able to access remote features of the card – such as freezing or cancelling it – if payment card details are not uploaded.
If you wish to add season passes to your card, you will need to take an ID photo.
Activated cards will appear with a green icon; those yet to be activated with an orange icon. When a card is lost or damaged, it can be frozen using the App; its icon will turn red.
Once payment details have been added and a card activated, Pay As You Go skiing will be the default payment option for all Pay As You Go skiing resorts – please make sure you freeze your card and/or remove your card from your lift pass pocket to ensure you are not accidentally charged twice when using other lift pass cards.
Working with Alto.Ski, your membership card can be used to facilitate Pay As You Go Skiing in a number of resorts in Italy.
To use Pay As You Go Skiing, simply add a payment card, then get skiing at any of the above resorts! The Alto.Ski system will calculate the best rate for your day on the mountain based on the time you spent skiing.
Away from these resorts, any lift passes issued by a resort using Ski Data or Exxess Ski can be loaded onto your membership card, either online before hitting the slopes, or at the lift ticket office. You don’t need to have added payment card details to the App in order to load standard lift passes onto your card.
When buying online, simple enter the long, 23-digit number you see on the back of your card when prompted; when completing the booking process you will be asked if you have a card or lift pass already – don’t forget to say yes!
The long number is formatted as such: 01-2345 6789 0123 4567 8901-2
Alternatively, simply present the card at a lift ticket office and they will be able to add your products quickly and easily. At some locations you can buy tickets using remote kiosks – when prompted, you can scan the QR code to add lift passes to your card.
Ski Data is the most common lift ticket system and can be found in a vast majority of resorts around the world; lift passes from Ski Data resorts can be added online or at the lift ticket office.
Some major resorts, however, use Team Axess instead; don’t worry, you can still use your membership card to ski here, you’ll just only be able to add lift passes by visiting the lift ticket window.

Membership cards that have been lost can be frozen – and unfrozen – via the App. You can also do the same with your family’s cards in case they are lost.
To order a replacement card, please contact the Ski Club directly, at members@skiclub.co.uk
Once activated, your cards will always default to Pay As You Go skiing in applicable resorts. Please ensure that only one card at a time is used as your lift pass and stored in your lift pass pocket accordingly, as you may be charged twice.
Please note that devices using large text sizes may have trouble completing first-time set up. You are advised to reduce your device’s font sizes to complete first-time set up – once this has been completed, you can return your device’s font size to your preferred settings.
Please note the app cannot support passwords that use special characters (! # @ /, etc). Please update your password via the Ski Club website prior to logging in via the app.
The minimum requirement for mobiles to support the Ski Club App is:
Use the “help” function at the bottom of the main page of the app to contact the Ski Club membership team or the app developer. Your feedback is extremely valuable and will help us improve our membership app. We would greatly appreciate it if members did not leave negative ratings or comments on the app store.
The Members app is the new gateway to all of the benefits of your Ski Club GB membership. It is your “digital” membership card, your lift pass (including pay-as-you-go skiing), your discounts card, your source of information for about 345 ski resorts worldwide, your trip planner, your channel to contact Ski Club representatives and the preferred way to connect with other club members who may be visiting the same resort as you. The Forum app is being retained while the development of the Members app is ongoing, but will be removed once equivalent capabilities become available in the Members app.
The new app does not currently have direct messaging (DM) between members, only between members and the current resort reps. This feature is under active development. The new app also does not support videos, only photographs. Finally, the new app does not include a Facebook-like “story” feed. Reps and members are encouraged to instead use general social media channels such as Facebook or Instagram for their video and story posts. This will help publicise the activities of the Ski Club of Great Britain and attract new members to the Club.
The old Ski Club Forum app has already been removed from the app stores and is not available to new users. It is expected that the app will be completely withdrawn at the end of the 2024/2025 season as continuing operation would require the Ski Club to pay additional costs.
The new app allows members to search for a resort where a named individual is currently the resort rep. It does not provide a general method to search for any Rep or member.
From the app’s home page (main menu) select “My lift passes”. Grant any requested permissions. Under “My lift passes” select your name, then click on the small “pencil and paper” icon at the top right of the photo area. Then you may choose either to take a selfie or to select an image from your smartphone’s gallery.
