The poor snow record for 2023/24 comes off the back of a similar winters in 2021/22 and 2022/23. Before that, the last season with good snow was 2020/21, which saw some of the best Scottish conditions on record; the COVID-19 pandemic and relating restrictions, however, meant that not a single lift turned all year at any Scottish resort.
Open since 1977, The Lecht has been providing snowsports for 47 years, providing a valuable service to the whole of Northern Scotland, Moray and Aberdeen. Despite the poor conditions recorded last season, the resort was still able to provide lessons to more then 6,500 children, using a combination of artificial surfaces and snow manufacturing, using new, state of the art snow manufacturing machines.
Donations to the resort can be made via two channels. Via the resort’s website, lecht.co.uk, you can purchase and donate a lift pass, at either £35 for an adult or £20 for a child. Alternatively, you can donate any amount via their crowdfunding page available here.
